Euro World Design recently submitted home designs (that were built recently in the 417 area code) to the 417 Home Magazine 2010 Home of the Year contest. Designer Ron Hill states, “Our team is proud to be a part of the home owner’s excitement to win this prestigious award". Euro World Design, located in Ozark, Mo. designs homes with the character you would find in Old World communities. Euro World's niche is the French Country, Country French, Old World and European style home plans.

The 2010 417 Home of the Year was awarded to homeowners Mike & Diann Wallace, and their builder Arlan Campbell of "Arlan Homes" for a winner in the category of $1 million plus. This French Chateau has an Old World elegance that pulls you in and welcomes you home. An open floor plan that is full of details that are functional while pleasing to the eye was a request of the owners, Mike and Diann. Diann states in her interview with 417 Magazine’s Savannah Waszczuk, "The first thing people say when they come in is, "You know, it's so big, but each room feels warm and cozy." The Interior Designer, Jeris Ferguson of Jeris Ferguson Interiors, did a spectacular job of furnishing and warming up the spaces by choreographing the materials, surfaces, and colors to help pull off Old World Elegance.

The Chateau is truly beautiful and is loaded with rooms and outdoor spaces that serve the family's needs in many ways. The entry and great room is spectacular with a turreted spiral staircase and a carved limestone fireplace that reaches two stories and looks out through a radius window wall. The kitchen is every chef's dream with a small Euro World prep kitchen off to the side to help with catering and pantry items. The family enjoys a recreation room that is located by the hearth room where you can play cards, shoot pool, or enjoy the football game with friends at the sports bar. All of these areas look out upon a screened in porch along with a double edge infinity pool with a swim up bar. The study has all of the ambiance of a English manor with warm tones, Gothic windows, library, and stone fire place. The Master Suite is adorned with a turreted sitting area. The master bathroom is beyond elegant with walk in shower and Romanesque tub.

With other amenities like an indoor simulated golf range and movie theatre, this home is truly a fun place for family and friends to enjoy. The Wallace's love people and are always an inspiration to those who cross paths with them.
